When we first started our journey, the Berlin Wall was still standing, it was ok to wear a denim shirt and jean combo and New Kids on the Block were still new. 1989 – Video hire company ‘Blitz Vision Ltd’ is created

1996 – Blitz acquired by sound company Visual Action Holdings

1996 – Blitz takes control of Visual Action Holdings’ operations, including their Manchester office and the company is rebranded as Blitz

1996 – Blitz acquires Interactive Ltd and Blitz Interactive division is formed

1996 – Blitz wins contract to supply technical event staging services to Microsoft TechEd event

1998 – Blitz moves into 30,000 sq ft space at Centennial Park, Elstree

2001 – Blitz acquires graphics company, Astonics, to expand offering

2003 – Blitz sets up TV division to service studios and production companies

2003 – Blitz is purchased by Evenser Group

2004 – Blitz acquires Charter Broadcast, a broadcast equipment supplier

2005 – Blitz completes work at Microsoft TechEd for the 10th consecutive year

2009 – Re-fit sound systems for the world famous The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London

2009 – Become the first AV supplier to be sole supplier at all 4 major London event venues

2010 – To meet increased demand, Blitz invests £1.5m into new equipment

2010 – Supply AV equipment to Eric Hazelhoff-Roelfzema’s legendary wartime story ‘Soldaat van Oranje’ (Soldier of Orange) which is expected to run for two years

2011 – Invited to join the AV Alliance

2011 – Blitz awarded ‘AV Rental and Staging Company of the Year

2012 – Invests £1.6m into new equipment and 15 new team members

2012 – Blitz awarded ‘AV Rental and Staging Company of the Year’ again!

2013 – Blitz support Comic Relief by supplying projection mapping at BBC TV Centre

2013 – Plimsoll Publishing presents Blitz with an ‘Outstanding Company’ award

2013 – ‘LondonLovesExcellence’ awards Blitz with ‘Certificate of Merit’ in the ‘Creative Industries’ sector

2013 – Blitz Manchester supplies the red carpet event for the Stone Roses film World Premiere

2013 – Supplies the prestigious Man Booker Prize Awards with complete set, staging and audio visual package

2013 – Helps The Gadget Show set a new world record for the largest projection of a live video game – measuring a massive 2,340 metre squared!

2014 – Blitz joins the GES family

2014 – Named as the winner in the ‘Creative Industries’ category of the LondonlovesExcellence Awards

2015 – Installs a St. Valentine’s Day special display at the London Eye

2015 – Appointed AV supplier at ExCeL London for the next 5 years

2015 – Secures 3 year deal as in-house AV supplier at Olympia London

2016 – Supplies full suite of products for i2i Event Group’s Money 20/20 Europe in Copenhagen

2016 – Secures 3 year deal as in-house AV supplier at Manchester Central
